I'm still around

I don't really have anything to post about at the present time but just wanted you folks to know that I haven't vanished off the face of the planet. I have been avidly reading and posting on CafeMom, reading and commenting on my friends' blogs, searching for a job (no luck yet) and trying to keep two little princess-divas somewhat happy. I am also researching loans/grants for grad school (Library Science) some day--figured I had better get my finances back on track first--and doing some reading. This all makes for a busy day, most of the time.

I hope to have some more interesting stuff to post about soon...

Oh, I did want to mention the cutest thing today. I put Cara in the big bathtub with Caitlin (I held & supported Cara, of course) and the two girls had a blast "floating" next to each other. At one point, Cara was riding on Caitlin's back (a total Kodak moment but I was occupied with keeping Cara from drowning, so no picture) with her chubby legs on either side of Caitlin as they swam "like Diego on the seat turtle up & down the length of the tub. Some good times had by both girls.

That's all folks. :)

How cute of Catlin and Cara in the bathtub. Life may be a little quieter right now, but life with two little girls will never be dull.

Oh how much fun! The boys still take a bath together and it is always a floor-mop session by the time they're all clean!

As for bedtime around here, my boys are up by 7 am every morning. Tyler naps from about 1:30 - 3:30 or 4, and then they play/eat/do homework/be kids until 7:15. At 7:15, all TVs are off, all games are shut down, bath is drawn and taken, and by 7:40, we're all reading something - Travis is usually silently reading and I'm usually reading to Tyler. By 8, we're in beds, saying prayers and I'm singing. I usually leave their room around 8:10.

Travis is ALWAYS asleep by 8:11, I think. Tyler, the little guy, is much different. Sometimes it will be 9 and I can still hear him singing or playing in the crib through the monitor. The goober! As far as the lightness, that's not an issue. I have light-blocking shades on their bedroom window. It can be laser-beam sun on their window and their room is DARK.

We also have a gurgling fish tank in their room, which helps to soothe the savage beast to sleep!
