A bun in the oven...

We have some exciting news to share with our family & friends---after a cross-state move (we are now living in Aurora, CO) and a new job, I found out about 2 1/2 weeks ago that I am expecting! It was a rather big surprise and proof, for sure, that birth control is what they claim, 99.9% effective. We just fall into the .1%, I guess. The strangest thing is that, according to the ultrasound technicians calculations, the new arrival will be due exactly one day after Caitlin's 3rd birthday! You'd think that we had this planned to a "T" instead of it being a surprise...divine intervention, no doubt.
So once again, we are getting ready to decorate the "nursery" and imaging life as a family of 4. We are anxious and excited as I approach my 4th month (yep, almost halfway through and just found out) and the chance to find out the baby's sex. I think that we're having a boy this time but Ben is dreaming/praying for a girl. I have to admit, a girl would be easier since we have just about everything in pink or purple. Then again, a boy would be a nice change...to be able to buy Osh Kosh overalls, trucks and Bob the Builder DVDs instead of My Little Pony, Cabbage Patch Kids and Dora the Explorer. We're taking bets and guesses...so guess away!

Oh!!!!!!!1 Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys! :) Caitie must be very excited to have a baby of her own soon. Please let us know when you find out the sex. I believe in "Mother's intuition" so I vote it's a boy! :) By the way, hang on to those Dora DVDs, my guy likes them. A lot of parents are upset because they don't make Dora clothing for boys. It's a big topic on Mommy blogs! :)

Anyway, though, I am just over joyed for the three of you. How are you feeling by the way?

Thank you for posting and welcome to your new home too!
Love,
Lauren

Add my ''congrats'' along with all the others - I was excited to hear the news! Whether a boy or girl the expected little one will be a wonderful addition to your family and Caitlin will love having a younger sibling. A REAL doll to make over. Baby due around Caitlin's birthday...so not too long to go - makes infanticipating shorter...busier and fun.

Gosh, I was wrong both times my daugher had her two babies...so my guess would no doubt be wrong.

Your new apartment sounds like it has possibilities...and making it ''yours'' will be a plus.

Take care - enjoy your new home, new job and just look forward to the new baby's arrival.

Love,
Mary
